We are pleased to announce that in March 2018 the hydrotechnical works at Żurawiowe and Wilcza Struga have been completed. Several dozen rapids, fords, ditches and dykes have been created in this area, assuring that important and valuable habitats are protected against excessive desiccation.
The works were undertaken between December 2016 and February 2018 and were conducted only in autumns and winters, to prevent disturbing rare animal species. Works were conducted in harsh weather conditions (with record-high rainfall in the second half of 2017), which forced additional, obligatory constructions and prolonged the investment process. Currently, all facilities are already constructed and we hope they will contribute to the improvement of the conditions of local wetlands.
