New bat species in KPN

Thanks to the detector monitoring carried out in the Kampinoskie Bagna 2 project, three new bat species have been found in the KPN area for the first time – the Bechstein’s bat, the Northern bat and the Kuhl’s pipistrelle. This discovery still needs to be confirmed by an independent expert. If it turns out to be true, it will be the 17th, 18th and 19th species of these mammals in the KPN area. The monitoring results also indicate that the most frequently recorded species are the serotine bat, the common noctule and the soprano pipistrelle. The remaining species, including wetland species, are much rarer.
